Sensitive Personal Information. Certain personal information that we collect about job applicants may be considered to be sensitive (“Sensitive Personal Information”) within the meaning of applicable state, federal or provincial privacy laws, including Social Security number; driver's license number; protected characteristics; trade union membership, veteran status, health and medical information (including where required, drug screening results), and/or criminal history.
We collect and use Sensitive Personal Information only where permitted or required by law and for specific, limited purposes, including to conduct lawful pre‑employment background and eligibility checks; to comply with equal employment opportunity and reporting obligations; to meet legal and regulatory requirements; to provide workplace accommodations where applicable; and to support workplace health and safety administration. We do not use protected characteristics to make employment decisions, except where otherwise required by law (e.g., to provide reasonable accommodations of disability.)
We generally receive personal information directly from you or from third parties, such as employment or recruitment agencies, background check providers, references, or other publicly available databases and sources.
We may disclose personal information third parties as follows:
Third parties that assist us with recruiting may use AI tools that function strictly as process automation tools to automate candidate communication via chatbot interactions, facilitate self-scheduling interviews and recruiter-to-candidate follow-up, help candidates find available jobs based on their interests and location, and streamline administrative hiring workflows. These tools can also answer candidate questions using FAQs based on preconfigured responses. These conversational and automation platform tools do not produce ratings, scores, rankings, prioritizations, or classifications that evaluate or influence employment decisions nor do they independently assess candidate suitability.
Please note that these tools generate automated, human-like conversations through Natural Language Processing (NLP) and chatbot capabilities, allowing candidates to engage in real-time, interactive communication.
Subject to certain exceptions, as a California or Canadian resident, you have the right to: (i) request deletion of your Personal Information; (ii) request correction of inaccurate Personal Information; (iii) to know/ access the categories of Personal Information that we collect about you, including the specific pieces of Personal Information; and (iv) the right to know the categories of Personal Information disclosed for a business purpose. We do not “sell” or “share” Personal Information, as those terms are defined by California Privacy Law.
Subject to certain exceptions, Quebec residents also have the right to: (i) request that their Personal Information be provided to them or transferred to another organization (data portability); (ii) request the deletion or de-indexation of their Personal Information; and (iii) be informed if a decision about them is made exclusively through automated processing and to request information about the logic and consequences of such processing. Your Personal Information will not be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for any longer than is reasonably considered necessary by us for achieving the purposes for which it was collected or processed or as it is established in the applicable laws related to data retention periods.
